Michael Sweeney (Strategy), a web developer and systems expert, has been involved in The Web Standards Project since its launch in 1998. As the systems god at Project Cool, Sweeney created many of the back-end implementations that drove the early WaSP’s lists and site functions. After he and The WaSP left Project Cool, Sweeney continued to contribute to the group’s strategic thinking and campaigns.
