Adding Multimedia in Web Documents (part 2)

Testing the Browsers for object element

Test Reporting Template

We have created a few tests to help you to establish the level of implementation of the object element in each user agent. You are welcome to report the results to the [email protected] mailing list (publicly archived). Use the email subject of "[object] Test Report - (User Agent Name and version)" where "User Agent Name" and "version" is the browser and its version you have tested with. When reporting implementation results, ensure that all requested information is included. Without this information the test will be useless. You might want to use the following template:

Date:
OS Version: (Name and version)
User Agent: (Name and version)

Test URI:
Result: Y, N, B
Comments:

It is very important to give reasons in the comments section, especially when the test has failed or is considered buggy.

Test Report

Here we provide a short test report for some user agents and some platforms. This test report is not complete and doesn't cover all the possible cases. It may contain errors depending how testers have interpreted the test results. We will continue to collect the test results for (X)HTML object implementation.
